Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged a man in relation to a shooting in the City of Brampton.
On May 6, 2022, at 1:35 a.m., the victim, a 33-year-old female, was shot in the area of Airport Road and Brock Drive in the City of Brampton. She was transported to a trauma centre in non-life-threatening condition.
On Thursday, July 7, 2022, Jasjit Dhaliwal a 36-year-old man of no fixed address, was charged with the following offences:
- Aggravated Assault
- Discharged Firearm
He was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 7, 2022.
