September 04: Starting Thursday, several roads in downtown Toronto will be closed for the Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 5 to September 15.
King Street West will be closed between University and Spadina avenues from 5 a.m. on Thursday until Monday, September 9, for a pop-up street festival featuring music, screenings, and other activities. Other closures will affect Widmer Street (between King and Adelaide streets), Emily Street (between Wellington and King streets), and Duncan Street (between Pearl and Adelaide streets).
John Street will be closed from Wellington to King streets, and Simcoe Street will be closed between Wellington and Adelaide streets during the same period.
Partial lane closures will also be in place around the Shangri-La Hotel, Scotiabank Theatre, and Princess of Wales Theatre until Tuesday, September 17, and around Roy Thomson Hall until Thursday, September 19.
