Y Media partnered with V-Serve to host a VIP Lotus reception on Friday, June 17, to welcome Bollywood Actress Pooja Batra to Toronto for the three-day “Living with Wellness” event. The Living with Wellness Festival effectively extended a platform with a solid message to Canadians on “Wellness For All.”
The reception focused on celebrating community, art, culture and wellness. It also acknowledged the sponsors who support Y Media and V Serve.
The VIP reception started with Y Media’s Group Editor and CEO, Yudhvir Jaswal, welcoming the guests. In his speech, Yudhvir Jaswal thanked the community and the sponsors for their invaluable support to Y Media. He mentioned the importance of family and well-being in one’s life. He also highlighted the importance of happiness and finding life’s purpose for overall wellness. He stressed the dimensions of overall wellness, including social connectivity, yoga exercises, ayurveda lifestyles, meditation, nutrition, sleep and mindfulness. He even mentioned how simple and healthy life choices could positively impact the outlook on life. He further unveiled Y Media Plus at the reception and introduced Ramona Singh, the associate editor of Y Media Group.
Ramona Singh introduced Y Media Plus, an all-English 24×7 television network and Online news portal. The event was hosted by a prominent personality, Jake Dheer, Senior Manager, OMNI Television at Rogers Sports & Media Inc., who highlighted the importance of organizing an event like this. V-Serve Executive Director Anu Srivastava envisioned the event and explained in her speech how the festival aims to promote health and wellness to create an improved lifestyle. The event was accompanied by chief guest Consul General of India, Apoorva Srivastava, who emphasized spreading healthy lifestyles, social well-being, and wellness advancement in Canada and worldwide. The Guest of Honour, celebrity Pooja Batra, in her speech, thanked everyone and described how yoga changed her life. Pooja Batra also spread the message of a healthy lifestyle and overall well-being. The event included several VIP guests, namely Nina Tangri, MPP for Mississauga- Streetsville; Deepak Anand, MPP for Mississauga-Malton; Sheref Sabawy, MPP for Mississauga- Erin Mills; Ron Chatha, Chair, Peel police Service Board; and Marc Andrews, Deputy Chief, Peel Regional Police.
Later, Apoorva Srivastava, Consulate General of India, Toronto; Pooja Batra; Anu Srivastava, Founder/CEO of ARRA Arts and Past Chair/President of Panorama India; Yudhvir Jaswal and Preet Jaswal presented the awards to Y Media sponsors.
