Brampton Resident Jagdev Kooner, 40, Charged by Peel Police for Filming People in Their Homes

July 13: Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged a 40-year-old Brampton resident, Jagdev Kooner, for secretly filming people in their homes. The investigation, led by the 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau, began in April 2024 after multiple reports of suspicious activities in residential areas. Kooner allegedly used sophisticated equipment to film individuals in their homes during nighttime hours without their consent.

The investigation gathered enough evidence to lead to Kooner’s arrest on July 3, 2024. He faces multiple charges of voyeurism. Peel Police emphasized the seriousness of the charges, highlighting the invasion of privacy and the distress caused to the victims.

Authorities are urging anyone with further information to come forward as the investigation continues. This case underscores the importance of community vigilance and the need for residents to report suspicious activities to the police.

For more information and updates on the investigation, residents are encouraged to follow Peel Regional Police announcements and advisories.
