A 27-year-old Indian game developer has created a satirical video game inspired by protests led by the Cockroach Party over alleged irregularities in electoral lists.
The game allows players to step into the role of demonstrators navigating confrontations with police during protest rallies. Players must overcome obstacles such as baton charges, tear gas, water cannons and attempts by law enforcement officers to disperse crowds.
Drawing inspiration from the political demonstrations, the developer uses interactive gameplay and satire to recreate the challenges faced by protesters.
The project highlights how video games can serve as a medium for political commentary, transforming real-world controversies into interactive digital experiences.
