Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayana’ Nears Rs 10-Crore Mark In Advance Ticket Sales

The upcoming mythological film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, is generating strong interest ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on November 5, with advance ticket sales approaching the Rs 10-crore milestone.

According to industry tracking platform Sacnilk, the film had collected approximately Rs 8.27 crore in advance bookings as of 10 a.m. on Friday, October 23. More than 1.47 lakh tickets had been sold across 3,964 screenings, reflecting growing anticipation for the Nitesh Tiwari-directed production.

The Hindi-language version accounts for the majority of ticket sales, generating approximately Rs 7.48 crore in advance revenue. Meanwhile, the Kannada version has collected Rs 57.69 lakh, followed by the Telugu version with Rs 21.11 lakh, representing approximately three per cent of total bookings.

Regionally, Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, Gujarat and Telangana have emerged as the five leading markets for advance ticket sales.

The Delhi-NCR region has recorded particularly strong demand, with bookings increasing by 13 per cent compared with the previous day. Advance collections in the region have exceeded Rs 2 crore, making it the film’s strongest individual market so far.

Mumbai follows with approximately Rs 1.49 crore in ticket sales, while Hyderabad has contributed Rs 47 lakh. Bengaluru has recorded Rs 44.97 lakh, followed by Pune with Rs 42.6 lakh.

Night screenings have attracted the highest advance collections, generating approximately Rs 2.77 crore, while morning shows have contributed Rs 2.45 crore.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Ravie Dubey, Sunny Deol, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil and Rakul Preet Singh.

The film is one of the most anticipated Indian cinematic adaptations of the ancient Hindu epic, with its large-scale production and visual effects designed to appeal to audiences both in India and internationally.

Recently, Yash urged viewers to approach the film with an open mind rather than focusing excessively on minor imperfections in its visual effects or other technical elements.

The actor also highlighted the substantial financial investment and creative effort involved in bringing the epic to the big screen, emphasizing the filmmakers’ ambition to introduce the story to a global audience.

Ramayana is planned as a two-part cinematic project, with the first instalment scheduled for November 5, 2026, and the second expected to arrive in theatres in 2027.

With nearly two weeks remaining before its release, the film’s advance booking figures indicate considerable audience interest as it approaches the Rs 10-crore mark in pre-release ticket sales.
