Arpan Khanna Wins CPC Nomination Race In Oxford

The Oxford County Conservative Party has selected Arpan Khanna as a candidate for the upcoming byelection.

He is also the Conservative Party’s National Outreach Chair.

“Arpan Khanna will be in the running to become our next Conservative Member of Parliament when residents head to the polls in the next few months,” the party said.

On Saturday, College Ave Secondary School held the local Conservative vote. Khanna ran against Woodstock City-County Councillor Deb Tait and Rick Roth, Vice President of Strategic Communications for Global Public Affairs. In addition, Gerrit Van Dorland stood for election but was disqualified before the vote.

Following almost 20 years of service to the community, Dave MacKenzie retired as Conservative MP on January 28th.

At this point, there is no word on when the byelection will take place.
