Brampton Hospitals get a Boost from Osler Open: Brampton Invitational

Osler Foundation’s 17th annual fundraising golf tournament raises more than $225,000 for Osler hospitals

June 12, 2024, BRAMPTON – William Osler Health System Foundation (Osler Foundation) hosted 140 golfers at The Pulpit Club on Monday for the annual Osler Open: Brampton Invitational golf tournament, presented by IFS. This was the 17th year for the event, which raised $225,137 in support of William Osler Health System’s (Osler) Brampton hospitals: Brampton Civic Hospital and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness (Peel Memorial).
Funds raised will support the transformation of Peel Memorial into Brampton’s new hospital and bring
much-needed expanded cancer care services to Brampton Civic Hospital.
“This event started 17 years ago to help build what was then Brampton’s new hospital, Brampton Civic
Hospital. It is incredible to be here today to raise funds to build Brampton’s second hospital—Peel Memorial Hospital—and bring enhanced cancer care services to our community,” said Ken Mayhew, President and CEO, William Osler Health System Foundation. “It’s going to take all of us, working together, to transform health care for our diverse and rapidly-growing city and we are grateful to the golfers, sponsors and donors who joined us today at the exceptionally beautiful The Pulpit Club to do just that.” “Osler is building a health system for the future, and our commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence is evident in the many exciting projects we have planned,” said Dr. Frank Martino, President and CEO, William Osler Health System. “Events like the Osler Open: Brampton Invitational are essential to our goal of bringing innovative care delivered with compassion to the communities we serve. On behalf of all of us at Osler, I extend thanks to everyone who helped to make this day a success.”
“We are proud to build our business in Brampton and, as corporate citizens of this vibrant, growing
community, we are committed to doing our part to support the health care that we rely on for ourselves,
our families and our colleagues,” said Paul Bhullar, President, IFS. “It’s our pleasure to return as the
Presenting Sponsor of the Osler Open: Brampton Invitational for a second year,” said Andy Billing, Vice
President, IFS.
In addition to Presenting Sponsor, IFS, the Osler Open: Brampton Invitational received generous support from: Orlando Corporation; Steve Robinson and Associates, RBC Securities; LiUNA! Local 183; and BVD Group.
