Bus operator, Baljeet Dhaliwal, 49, charged in Mississauga crash that left 1 woman dead

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have arrested and charged a transit bus operator concerning a fatal collision in Mississauga earlier this year.

On Thursday, June 8, 2023, a Mississauga transit bus collided with several stopped vehicles at the intersection of Derry Road and Rexwood Road in Mississauga. This collision injured several motorists and claimed the life of a 50-year-old woman.

On Thursday, October 26, 2023, following a complex investigation, investigators arrested and charged 49-year-old Baljeet Dhaliwal of Brampton.

Baljeet Dhaliwal is charged with the following offence: 

  • Dangerous Operation Causing Death

She will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date.
