Dear Members, Sponsors, and Colleagues,
I am humbled to stand before you as the new President of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. It is a great honour to be elected to this august office, and I promise to shoulder the responsibility to the best of my abilities.
Murarilal Thapliyal resigned as President and Director of the Chamber for personal reasons. On behalf of the board, I thank him for his service and contributions to the ICCC – both as a member and as a part of the board. We wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.
I have been associated with the Chamber for almost a decade, and served on committees and the board in various roles. I believe we have a great team in the current board, and we have the potential to deliver a lot more for our members, and to the Indo-Canadian community at large. The success of the digital marketing programme over the past few years is evidence that we are providing valuable service to our members and also the community at large. With consistency of efforts, we will be able to build up the Chamber as the first and best stop for anyone who wants to connect with Indo-Canadian professionals and entrepreneurs and contribute to the Canada-India corridor.
The coming decade is poised to be dominated by rapid technological advancements, changing consumer preferences, and global challenges that require innovative solutions. We can expect to see even more disruption as startups leverage emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and biotechnology to transform the healthcare, finance, and transportation sectors. Overall, new innovations and startups in both Canada and India will serve as catalysts for driving trade and commerce by introducing disruptive technologies, creating market opportunities, fostering collaborations, and building interconnected global networks.
As an advocate for innovation and startups, I commit to ensuring the ICCC supports and nurtures emerging ventures. Whether through mentorship, strategic guidance, or investment, the ICCC is dedicated to empowering SMEs to realize their full potential. By fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and resilience, the ICCC will strive to cultivate an ecosystem where groundbreaking ideas can flourish and drive meaningful change. From providing resources and networking opportunities, to offering practical advice and mentorship, I am passionate about contributing to the success of the next generation of innovators and disruptors.
