An immigration detainee escaped from Rockyview Hospital in Calgary while undergoing a medical assessment, authorities confirmed.
The individual, identified as Jagdeep Singh, is currently under investigation by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) for suspected involvement in organized crime under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Law enforcement agencies across the region are now working with the CBSA to locate Singh. Officials are urging the public not to approach him. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately and avoid attempting to apprehend him themselves.
