A major new Playdium location is coming to Vaughan Mills, promising to be the largest and most expansive Playdium experience in Canada.
Cineplex, the parent company of the Canadian entertainment chain, announced that construction is already underway on the new venue, with an opening targeted for summer 2026. The Vaughan Mills location will mark Playdium’s fifth site nationwide and its fourth in Ontario, joining existing locations in Brampton, Whitby and North York.
Spanning more than 24,000 square feet, Playdium Vaughan Mills will feature over 70 games and attractions, making it the most comprehensive Playdium yet. Planned attractions include a ropes course, rock climbing walls, laser tag, duckpin bowling and paintball, alongside a wide selection of classic and modern arcade games.
Cineplex president and CEO Ellis Jacob described the new venue as a destination designed for families and friends alike. He said the location will offer more attractions under one roof than any other Playdium in the country, creating a space where visitors can enjoy immersive entertainment, games and food in a fast-growing community.
In addition to games and activities, the venue will offer a full food and drink menu, including burgers, pizza, poutine, sandwiches, nachos, fries and sweet treats. The space will be suitable for all ages and will include private rooms available for birthday parties and special events.
Vaughan Mills officials welcomed the addition, calling it a major boost to the mall’s entertainment offerings. Joanne Ross, vice-president of retail property management at JLL Canada, said the partnership reinforces Vaughan Mills’ role as a destination for shopping, dining and now large-scale entertainment.
Once open, Playdium Vaughan Mills is expected to become a major attraction for families and visitors across the Greater Toronto Area.
