No injuries reported after early-morning house fire in Vaughan, say York police

No one was injured after a house fire broke out in Vaughan early Tuesday morning, according to York Regional Police.

Emergency crews were called to a residence near Highway 27 and Islington Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. on Dec. 23. Firefighters responded to the scene and worked to contain the blaze.

Police said no injuries were reported. As a precaution, neighbouring homes were temporarily evacuated while crews dealt with the fire.

Authorities did not indicate whether anyone was inside the home at the time of the incident, nor did they provide details on possible road closures in the area.
