Washington: Top Democrats dismissed the idea of replacing US President Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee following a lacklustre debate performance, urging party members to prioritise the implications of another Donald Trump presidency instead. After much deliberation over Biden’s debate performance against Trump, Democratic leaders emphatically rejected suggestions to nominate a younger candidate for the upcoming November election.
