The level of competition and play for international players will inspire and entertain fans of all ages,” shares Bryan Merrett, Executive Director of Badminton Canada. “Last year the YONEX Canada Open had a unveiling of sorts as we moved into Ontario. We look forward to bettering the experience of fans as we end the BWF four-year cycle. Delivering the event last year took the contribution of many people in the community, and we are grateful for Markham’s continued hospitality and support. We look forward to watching Canadian players challenge the world again!”

Canada will be well-represented at the event, with some familiar faces taking the court, including Canada’ first ever World Championship medalist, Victor Lai. Michelle Li, a four-time Canada Open champion and four-time Olympian in Women’s Singles and Brian Yang, a two-time Olympian in Men’s Singles, headline the competition!
