Ahead of SCO meet, Modi speaks to Kazakh President

Ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Astana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Tuesday, conveying India’s full support for the success of the event.

There is no official word yet on India’s representation at the summit, which is being hosted by Kazakhstan on July 3-4. “Had a good conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Thanked him for warm wishes on the success in the elections. Reiterated the commitment to advance our Strategic Partnership with Kazakhstan,” Modi said in a post on X Tuesday.

“Conveyed India’s full support for the success of the upcoming SCO Summit,” he said.
