Global pop superstar Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are expected to celebrate their wedding at Madison Square Garden this week, according to multiple sources familiar with the plans.
The celebrations are expected to unfold over two days at the iconic New York venue. A rehearsal event is reportedly scheduled for Thursday evening with approximately 100 guests, followed by a larger wedding celebration on Friday that is expected to host around 1,000 attendees. Festivities are expected to continue into the early hours of Saturday.
The couple, who began dating in 2023 and announced their engagement last August, have remained one of the world’s most closely followed celebrity pairs. While neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed the wedding plans, preparations surrounding the venue have fueled widespread speculation.
Adding to the anticipation, Zohran Mamdani appeared to reference the event during a news conference on Tuesday, joking that anyone getting married at Madison Square Garden would “be staying inside and staying cool” amid an expected heat wave.
The reported celebration coincides with a busy week in New York City, which is preparing for the U.S. Independence Day weekend while also welcoming thousands of visitors for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. A match is scheduled nearby at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, bringing additional crowds through the area surrounding the arena.
Although Madison Square Garden is best known as a sports and entertainment venue, it has previously hosted high-profile weddings. Music legend Sly Stone married actress Kathy Silva there in 1974, while thousands of couples took part in a mass wedding organized by the Unification Church at the venue in 1980.
Reports of the upcoming celebration have also been supported by permits filed for street closures around Madison Square Garden from Thursday through Saturday, along with invitations indicating a July 3 wedding in New York City. However, no official confirmation has been issued by the couple or their representatives.
