Canadian Tennis Star Félix Auger-Aliassime Falls Six Spots To World No. 13, Exits ATP Top 10

Canadian tennis star Félix Auger-Aliassime has slipped out of the world’s top 10 after dropping six positions to No. 13 in the latest ATP men’s singles rankings released Monday.

The 26-year-old Montreal native lost 640 ranking points in the weekly update, marking his first exit from the top 10 in more than a year.

Auger-Aliassime currently holds a 37-18 win-loss record for the 2026 season, during which he has captured one ATP title.

His lone tournament victory this year came in February in Montpellier, France, following a successful 2025 campaign that saw him secure three titles.

Despite his recent decline in the rankings, Auger-Aliassime enjoyed a strong performance at the French Open in June, advancing to the quarterfinals and reaching a career-high world ranking of No. 4.

Other Canadian players experienced mixed results in Monday’s rankings update.

Denis Shapovalov of Richmond Hill, Ontario, improved one position to No. 51, while Newmarket’s Liam Draxl recorded a significant jump of 26 places to No. 168.

Meanwhile, Montreal’s Gabriel Diallo fell 20 positions to No. 169.

All four players are expected to represent Canada at the upcoming Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna, Italy, alongside Duncan Chan of Markham, Ontario.

The international team competition is scheduled to take place from November 24 to 29, bringing together eight nations competing for the prestigious Davis Cup title.

At the top of the ATP rankings, Germany’s Alexander Zverev claimed the world No. 1 position, moving ahead of Italy’s Jannik Sinner.

Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz retained third place in the standings.

Auger-Aliassime will now look to regain ranking points and return to the top 10 as he prepares to represent Canada in the season-ending Davis Cup competition.
