IBU International Business University (“IBU”) and Enabled Talent have announced a partnership to strengthen student career readiness, expand opportunities for students with disabilities, and connect academic learning with practical industry experience.
Formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on September 23, 2026, the partnership creates a framework for collaboration on internships, capstone projects, and the exploration of a joint student mentoring program. It brings together IBU’s emphasis on career-relevant business education and Enabled Talent’s work to expand access to education and employment for people with disabilities and overlooked talent.
The collaboration reflects a shared understanding that career readiness develops through opportunities to apply knowledge, exercise judgment, and contribute to real organizational challenges. Equally, those opportunities must be accessible to students with different experiences and support needs. The partnership aims to connect these priorities, helping students build professional confidence while contributing to more inclusive workplaces.
Under the MOU, Enabled Talent will give first consideration to IBU students for internship opportunities, subject to its standard recruitment and selection processes. Students will also have opportunities to undertake capstone projects addressing real-world business challenges in collaboration with Enabled Talent, connecting academic research and business concepts with practical recommendations informed by industry needs.
A priority of the collaboration will be expanding participation for students with disabilities and involving students with lived experience of disability in the co-design of projects. Their perspectives can help shape the questions explored, the solutions developed, and the criteria used to evaluate whether those solutions work in practice. This approach recognizes lived experience as a valuable source of knowledge and students as active contributors to better business decisions.
IBU and Enabled Talent will also explore ways to make participating programs and learning opportunities more accessible. This includes identifying barriers to participation and considering practical supports that help students engage in projects, demonstrate their capabilities, and benefit from industry experience. Student input will help inform this work so that accessibility responds to the realities of learning and working.
The organizations will explore a joint mentoring initiative through which Enabled Talent professionals could support students’ academic and career development. The proposed initiative would complement classroom learning with professional perspectives, career guidance, and insight into workplace expectations.
As part of this broader commitment, IBU and Enabled Talent intend to develop scholarship opportunities and additional student supports, with further details expected to be announced in 2027. Eligibility, availability, and application information will be shared as these initiatives are finalized.
For IBU, the partnership strengthens connections between business education and professional practice. For Enabled Talent, it creates an opportunity to engage emerging business talent in work shaped by accessibility, inclusion, and broader participation in the workforce. Together, the organizations aim to help students understand how business decisions influence access to opportunity and how they can carry that understanding into their careers as professionals and leaders.
IBU will recognize Enabled Talent as an official Industry Partner on its website and in related promotional materials. Both organizations will maintain regular communication, with representatives meeting at least annually to review progress and identify further areas of collaboration.
