Athenna Crosby from California has been crowned Miss World America 2024 and will represent the US at the 72nd Miss World pageant in 2025. The winner received an award package worth over $250,000. Athenna was crowned by Victoria Disorbo, the current Miss World America, at a pageant held at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Seattle, Washington.
The pageant was organized by a couple of Punjab origin, Ekta and Sanjay Saini, for the second year in a row. Ekta, the daughter of local farmer TR Sachdeva and retired educator Vijay Luxmi, is the first Indian-American woman to serve as the national director of Miss World America. Last year, their daughter, Shree Saini, became the first Indian-American to win the title of Miss World America and was also the first runner-up at Miss World. Shree has worked with over 100 non-profit organizations.
