Billionaire Frank Stronach Faces New Charges in Historical Sexual Assault Case

June 26: Frank Stronach, a prominent Canadian businessman, faces eight additional charges after new victims were identified in a historical sexual assault investigation. The 91-year-old now faces a total of 13 criminal charges, including six counts of sexual assault and two historical charges of attempted rape and indecent assault.

Peel Regional Police announced the new charges, which add to allegations from incidents between the 1980s and 2023. Initial charges were based on complaints from July 1980, February 1986, and April 2023. The exact number of additional victims and the dates of the new incidents remain unclear.

Stronach, released on bail, was ordered to surrender his passport, notify police of any address changes, and avoid contact with the complainants. He is set to appear in a Brampton court on July 8 for the initial charges.

In response, Stronach’s lawyer, Brian Greenspan, stated that Stronach “categorically denies” the allegations and intends to defend his legacy as a philanthropist and business icon. Stronach, the founder of Magna International Inc., has had no affiliation with the company since 2010 and has not been involved with The Stronach Group for several years.
