Bobby Sahni, co-founder and partner of Ethnicity Matters, Appointed to NHL Foundation Canada’s Board of Directors

Bobby Sahni, the co-founder and partner of Ethnicity Matters, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for NHL Foundation Canada. His extensive background in diversity and inclusion makes him a valuable addition to the foundation, which aims to support and drive positive change through charitable causes across Canada.

As part of the revitalized NHL Foundation, Sahni will help oversee the foundation’s mission, which is structured around five key pillars: youth development, health and well-being, social equity, pathways to hockey, and service. The NHL Foundation’s expanded focus includes initiatives aimed at supporting underserved communities, combating racism, providing resources for mental health, and promoting accessibility to hockey, especially for youth.

Sahni’s appointment comes at a significant time, as the NHL Foundation embarks on a new era of philanthropic leadership. The foundation’s newly appointed Board of Directors, which includes industry leaders like former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen J. Harper, will guide its efforts to enhance its social impact in both Canada and the U.S.

The NHL Foundation’s commitment to charitable causes, including initiatives that support military members, first responders, and young athletes, aligns with Sahni’s values of building inclusive communities. This appointment reflects the foundation’s goal to make a meaningful and lasting impact on Canadian society by addressing critical social issues.
