BRAMPTON SOUTH YOUTH FAIR CONNECTS HUNDREDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE TO OPPORTUNITY – MP SONIA SIDHU

Sonia Sidhu, Member of Parliament for Brampton South, proudly hosted the Brampton South Youth Fair at the Youth Hub at the Susan Fennell Sportsplex, welcoming more than 200 young people and 15 partner organizations from across the community.

The Youth Fair provided a supportive and engaging environment where local youth could connect directly with leaders and organizations representing a wide range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, public service, and education. Participating organizations included Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, Peel Regional Police, Brain Canada, Toronto Metropolitan University, William Osler Health System, and local organizations such as Code Ninjas. Together, they shared information on career pathways, mentorship opportunities, and programs designed to help young people plan for their futures.

“Our young people are resilient, talented, and full of potential,” said MP Sidhu. “As a community, we have a responsibility to ensure they can access the opportunities and supports they need to succeed. The Brampton South Youth Fair brings those opportunities directly to young people, helping them build confidence and take meaningful steps toward their goals.”

The event was held at the Youth Hub at the Susan Fennell Sportsplex, a community space made possible through a federal investment of over $1 million in 2023. This investment supports expanded programming, services, and safe spaces that foster inclusion, learning, and connection for young people in Brampton.

Building on the success of previous community initiatives—such as a seniors fair that welcomed over 400 residents—the Youth Fair reflects an ongoing commitment to strengthening community connections and investing in Brampton South’s future.

MP Sidhu extends her sincere appreciation to all participating organizations, volunteers, and youth attendees whose enthusiasm and collaboration made the Youth Fair a success.
