Budget blueprint for developed India, prioritizing people, economy and innovation: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the Union Budget as a blueprint for India’s future, with a focus on infrastructure, industry, and investment.

In his virtual address at the post-budget webinar on employment generation, the PM emphasized that equal priority has been given to people, the economy, and innovation.

“The vision of ‘investment in people’ rests on three key pillars: education, skill development, and healthcare. This budget reflects the roadmap for a developed India, where infrastructure and industries are prioritized alongside the people and economy,” the PM said.

Highlighting the government’s focus on education, PM Modi stated that India’s education system is undergoing a significant transformation. He pointed to the National Education Policy, the expansion of IITs, the integration of technology, the use of AI, digitization of textbooks, and making study materials available in 22 Indian languages.

The PM also mentioned several initiatives to promote startups, including a Rs 1 lakh crore corpus fund to support research and innovation. Additionally, he noted that over 3 crore youth have received skill training since 2014, with plans to upgrade 1,000 ITI institutes and create five Centers of Excellence.
