Award for its remarkable contributions to community development. Presented by the Niagara Falls

transformative leadership of founders Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari and Dr. Shri Sachindada
Dharmadhikari.

The Civic Pride Award is bestowed annually to individuals and organizations that demonstrate an
unwavering commitment to improving the local community, enhancing the environment, and improving
the daily lives of Niagara Falls residents. It is one of nine special awards presented during the City’s
Volunteer Recognition Ceremony.

During the ceremony, Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati joined City Council members Mona Patel,
Victor Pietrangelo, and Mike Strange in commending DSNDP’s work. “These are the unsung
heroes who take pride and ownership in our community. Their actions demonstrate how
important the little things in life can be and how a difference can be made by an individual or
group” remarked the committee representative, endorsing DSNDP during the ceremony. A DSNDP
volunteer shared, “We are incredibly honored to receive this award, which reflects DSNDP’s
philanthropic efforts. This recognition will serve as profound inspiration and strengthen our
resolve in serving the society. The unwavering guidance of Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari
and Dr. Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari has motivated us to prioritize the well-being of the
community as our core mission”.

Esteemed ministers Wayne Gates, MPP, and Tony Badinelli, Member of Parliament for Niagara
Falls, also expressed their gratitude, presenting the organization with certificates of appreciation.

renowned social reformer. The organization’s impact has been far-reaching, with over 3.67 million trees

dams and rivers. Under the visionary guidance of its founders, DSNDP now operates in 23 countries,
inspiring more than 7 million followers worldwide. In Canada, DSNDP has mobilized over 500
volunteers, collected 12,150 pounds of waste, planted 300+ trees, and facilitated plasma donation drives
with 150+ donors in the last three years. The organization’s efforts have also extended to the United
States, spanning 19 states and 107 cities, where 40,590 pounds of waste were collected and 20,000+
trees were planted, all resulting in significant cost savings for local and state governments.
