Cultural festivals to check out this summer

Take advantage of cultural festivals this summer sponsored by TD through the TD Ready Commitment

These events offer an abundance of food, arts, music and neighborhood-specific experiences for people to enjoy the sunshine, connect with people and appreciate different cultures.

TD has a longstanding history of sponsoring summer events to help bring people together and foster a strong sense of connectedness via its corporate citizenship platform, the TD Ready Commitment, showcasing the bank’s investments in diverse communities. At TD, we know that we can only thrive when the communities around us thrive, and that building a more sustainable and inclusive future is critical for both our communities and for our Bank.

A recent survey by TD found 89% of Canadians feel it’s important to support small businesses this summer, and 63% of Canadians will research shops, restaurants, and attractions ahead of time. The summer festivals sponsored by TD are lined up with incredible food, handcrafted goods and many more by local businesses. These present great opportunities for Canadians to support homegrown entrepreneurship.

Last Saturday, the annual DESIFEST celebrated the rich cultural heritage of South Asia. Hundreds of people enjoyed spectacular performances by an exciting pool of artists. It featured genre-defying sets from Master-D and Landy Garcia, a groundbreaking fusion by JUNO-nominated Yanchan Produced, the soulful stylings of Achanté Music, the powerhouse vocals of Queens of Bollywood, and a special performance by guitar legend ShallumX.
