Mississauga, ON – Indus Community Services (Indus) proudly celebrated its 40th Anniversary on June 19, marking four decades of dedicated service to the community. The milestone event brought together nearly 200 guests, including community leaders, staff, volunteers, and supporters, all gathered to reflect on the agency’s journey and offer their heartfelt congratulations. In addition to the celebration, the agency launched their 2025-2030 Strategic Plan and share their vision for the future of Indus
A special highlight of the day was the visit by The Honourable Charmaine Williams, Ontario’s Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity, who offered her warm congratulations and recognized the agency’s unwavering commitment to building an inclusive and supportive community for newcomers, seniors, and families across Peel Region.

Founded in 1985, Indus Community Services has grown into a vital pillar of support, delivering a wide range of programs in health and wellness, settlement, and family services. Over the past 40 years, the organization has touched thousands of lives, helping individuals and families thrive in their new home.

The evening featured cultural performances, stories from clients and staff, and acknowledgements of the many individuals and partners who have shaped the organization’s legacy.
