Israel’s Netanyahu Thanks Indian PM Modi For His Leadership And Enduring Friendship

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his Rosh Hashanah greetings, praising his leadership and what he described as an enduring friendship between India and Israel.

In a message shared by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office on X, Netanyahu expressed appreciation for Modi’s wishes to him and the people of Israel for the Jewish New Year. He said the occasion provided an opportunity to recognize Modi’s leadership and the longstanding relationship between the two leaders.

Netanyahu said India and Israel have transformed ties between their ancient civilizations into an unprecedented partnership between two democracies. He added that he and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, looked forward to meeting Modi again soon.

Modi had earlier extended Rosh Hashanah greetings to Netanyahu, the Israeli people and Jewish communities around the world. The Indian prime minister wished them peace, hope, good health and continued progress in the new year.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog also thanked Indian President Droupadi Murmu for her Rosh Hashanah message, describing India as a true friend of Israel. Murmu had extended greetings to Herzog, Israelis and Jewish communities worldwide, expressing hope that the new year would bring peace, prosperity, good health and renewed hope.

The exchange highlighted the close diplomatic relationship between India and Israel, with leaders from both countries using the Jewish New Year to reaffirm their friendship and bilateral ties.
