and they deserve leadership that stands with them, not leadership that roots against them.
When misconduct occurs, it must be addressed firmly and transparently but that responsibility should never be
twisted into an excuse to disparage an entire police service or the profession itself.
Policing is essential to public safety. Communities are safer because of the dedication, professionalism and
