Pizza Nova becomes Official Pizza of The Sports Village in Vaughan

Pizza Nova to serve athletes and families as the Official Pizza of The Sports Village in Vaughan

Pizza Nova marked its arrival at The Sports Village in Vaughan with a community event on April 10. The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council from the City of Vaughan, introducing its offerings to athletes, families and tournament visitors at one of the region’s busiest multi-sport complexes.

The Ontario-based pizza restaurant brand has been named the official pizza supplier of The Sports Village, where it works with City staff to serve its signature pizzas and panzerottis through The Sports Village’s on-site food concessions and Hot Shots Bar & Grill, the on-site full-service restaurant. The Sports Village welcomes more than two million participants and visitors each year, including athletes competing in major hockey tournaments and youth training programs.

“Sports complexes like this are where young athletes build confidence, teamwork and friendships,” said Domenic Primucci, president of Pizza Nova. “We’re proud to support The Sports Village and serve families who spend their time here competing, practicing and celebrating together.”

Pizza Nova has served families and sports communities across Vaughan and the surrounding region for decades. The partnership expands the brand’s presence within one of the area’s busiest destinations for youth sports, recreation and tournaments.

Located at 2600 Rutherford Rd., The Sports Village is a multi-sport complex featuring four NHL-sized ice rinks used year-round for hockey, figure skating, public skating and tournaments. The site also includes five beach volleyball courts, a 30,000-square-foot outdoor sports park and two baseball diamonds.

“I’m pleased to welcome Pizza Nova to The Sports Village, one of Vaughan’s premier sports and recreation destinations. Whether you’re cheering on a team or spending time with family and friends, a great slice of pizza only adds to the experience. Thank you to the fantastic team at Pizza Nova and the dedicated staff here for bringing this exciting new partnership to life,” said Mayor Steven Del Duca, City of Vaughan.

Owned and operated by the City of Vaughan, the facility hosts major hockey tournaments, including the Silver Stick and the Ontario provincial championships. The complex is also home to organizations such as the City of Vaughan Hockey Association, the largest minor hockey association in Ontario, and the Toronto Aeros Girls Hockey Association.
