Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on a visit to Patna for a poll campaign, paid his respects at Gurudwara Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib on Monday. He paid his obeisance in Darbar Sahib, the birthplace of Sri Guru Gobind Singh. Adorned in an orange turban, PM Modi, during his visit to the Gurudwara, took part in preparing and serving the langar, while also participating in the seva of Chaur Sahib and sat in Paath for “Sarbat Da Bhala”.
Visuals circulating on social media depict PM Modi personally preparing daal and rotis for the devotees present at the Gurudwara. He humbly served langar from a steel bucket, at the Gurudwara Patna Sahib.
During his visit, PM Modi also joined Ardaas and listened to Live Kirtan, immersing himself in the spiritual ambiance of the Gurudwara. He took the opportunity to do Darshan of the rare ‘shastras’ (weapons) used by Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji.
PM Modi further took “karah prasad”, for which he paid through digital payment mode. Prime Minister was presented with “Sanmaan Patra” by the Gurudwara Committee and a portrait of Mata Gujri Ji by Sikh Bibis.
