Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Harbhajan Singh gained political validation after Punjab Police confirmed that a viral video he shared—depicting a young man allegedly taking drugs—was indeed recorded at the Jagraon Bridge in Punjab.
The confirmation follows a sharp exchange after Harbhajan re-shared a post by BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu. Taking a swipe at critics and ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters who questioned the video’s origin, the former cricketer remarked that “paid trolls” would now probably attempt to claim that even the Jagraon Bridge was located in Rajasthan.
The official verification provided important backing for Harbhajan, who had faced criticism earlier after sharing a different drug-related video that was fact-checked and traced to Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Addresses from state authorities clarified that while the Jagraon Bridge footage may be older, the individual shown using narcotics under the structure was arrested by Ludhiana Police on August 12.
