8th JAN: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) working president, Balwinder Singh Bhundar, has scheduled a meeting of the party’s working committee on January 10 to deliberate on the resignation submitted by SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal.
In addition to addressing the resignation, the committee will decide on initiating a membership drive aimed at restructuring the party through organizational elections. Senior party leader Daljit Singh Cheema shared that the meeting will take place at the party’s head office and will also focus on other significant issues concerning the state. The schedule for the membership drive is expected to be announced during the meeting.
