27 Dec: Sai Dham Food Bank is proud to host its annual Family to Families event on December 31st, 2024, making it the only food bank dedicated to staying open and supporting those in need on this day. This special initiative, conceptualized by our co-founder and director, Mrs. Subhra Mukherjee, aims to provide essential support to families in need as the year comes to a close.
Since its founding, Sai Dham Food Bank has provided vital aid to nearly 1 million people across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Serving a diverse range of individuals, including seniors, children, those with disabilities, the homeless, and students, the food bank has become a lifeline for those facing food insecurity. Notably, it is the only food bank in Canada to offer doorstep delivery of groceries and fresh produce, ensuring that seniors and individuals with mobility challenges receive food directly at their homes.
The Family to Families event will be held at 31 Steinway Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6N3, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with an expected turnout of up to 3,000 people. Those in need can register by filling out the online form at https://forms.gle/kojwSZxJ3eTfj4En6 to participate. Attendees are asked to bring a valid ID and a bag – the rest will be taken care of by our team of volunteers and staff!
