In a heartwarming demonstration of community spirit, Peel Regional Police Services, the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation, and Amazon Canada have joined forces to brighten the holiday season for families in Peel Region. At a special event hosted on December 3, 2024, at Amazon’s YYZ1 fulfillment center in Mississauga, the incredible impact of this year’s Toy Donation Drive was unveiled—over $470,000 worth of cash, toys, and baby essentials like diapers and wipes collected to support vulnerable families.

The campaign, powered by more than 10 Amazon Operations sites across the region, exemplifies the true spirit of giving. Contributions from Amazon employees and partners will provide vital assistance to families in need, ensuring that children and parents alike feel the joy and warmth of the holidays.

Dignitaries, including Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah and Police Services Board Chair Omar Khan, joined Amazon leaders and team members to celebrate the monumental success of the drive.

“It’s not just about the donations—it’s about the smiles and hope we can deliver together,” said Jasmin Begagic, Director of Canada Operations at Amazon.

With the collaboration of Amazon, Peel Regional Police Services, and the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation, this initiative brings hope to families, proving that generosity and teamwork can transform lives. This holiday season, the Peel Region community has been reminded of the extraordinary power of kindness, showing what is possible when we come together for a greater cause.
