Tim Hortons Smile Cookie is almost here! For the first time, the iconic week-long Tims fundraiser is being held in the spring, starting on May 1 through May 7

The restaurant owners of Tim Hortons Markham and Stouffville in partnership with Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) Foundation are proud to announce the return of the annual Smile Cookie campaign. For the first time, the charitable campaign will kick off in the spring, launching in Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada starting on May 1 running until May 7.
When a community member purchases a Smile Cookie for just $1.50 plus tax, from a participating Tim Hortons in Markham and Stouffville, 100 per cent of the proceeds will directly benefit The Stollery Family Centre for Childbirth & Children at Oak Valley Health’s MSH.
Last year alone, the Tim Hortons Markham and Stouffville restaurants raised nearly $80,000 for The Stollery Family Centre for Childbirth & Children at MSH and they have continued to be a long-time valued partner of MSH Foundation.
MSH serves one of Canada’s fastest growing regions. This means that as our community grows, so does the demand for high quality care. MSH must continue to meet the increasing demand, and also maintain the highest standards for patient care, all while delivering an extraordinary patient experience. The Stollery Family Centre for Childbirth & Children provides quality, patient-centred care for pregnant people, infants, and children up to age 18.
“The government can’t fund all equipment and other priority needs, so Markham Stouffville Hospital must rely on community support to drive innovation and enable growth,” says Allan Bell, Vice President, Community Relations and Corporate Partnerships, MSH Foundation. “Giving back through the Smile Cookie week is a meaningful way to ensure that care is accessible for families whenever it is needed, right here close to home.”
Returning this year to help support the annual campaign are two of Canada’s most decorated Olympians and World Champions, Penny Oleksiak and Marie-Philip Poulin.
“Last year’s Smile Cookie campaign was so much fun to be a part of, so I am excited to kick off another round of Smile Cookie with Tim Hortons this year,” says Penny Oleksiak. “Smile Cookie has meant so much to be over the years, and I can’t wait to help make a real difference in so many communities across Canada.”
“Each and every Smile Cookie sold helps to support charities and community groups across the country,” says Marie-Philip Poulin. “I’m really looking forward to making this year’s Smile Cookie campaign the best week possible – let’s top last year!”

Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation exists to enable the growth of Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) by raising funds and awareness for its ongoing priorities and needs. Donations from the community fund life-saving medical equipment that helps to ensure the delivery of first-class health care at MSH.
