Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) to host an Open House and Free Concert on September 28th

Kicking off our 202425 season with a diverse range of music performances and activities

Toronto, ON (August 26) – The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is excited to announce an Open House and Free Concert on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Roy Thomson Hall, marking the launch of the 2024/25 season! We invite all Torontonians —whether newcomers or symphony fanatics, and regardless of age—to join us for an extraordinary day of free musical experiences. Come celebrate the joy of music with family and friends!

Free concert tickets will go on public sale on September 10. With limited seating, the TSO is
offering a promotion to gain early access to book tickets. Simply use the promo code:
TSOCOMMUNITY. Early access begins on August 20.

Open House Details
Date: Saturday, September 28, 2024
Location: Roy Thomson Hall, 60 Simcoe Street
Schedule for the Day
10:00am to 1:30pm: Lobby activations and performances
2:00pm to 3:00pm: Free concert

Starting at 10:00am in the lobby, visitors can enjoy a series of live music performances by the
TSO musicians and special guest artists. In-between, visitors can participate in music activations, where they can try new instruments, play music together, or even compose their own music
and hear it performed. No tickets or reservations are required for this portion of the
day–everyone is welcome to join and explore the boundless joy of music!

At 2:00pm, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra takes the stage for a captivating performance of
familiar favourites and new discoveries, led by Music Director Gustavo Gimeno and Barrett
Principal Education Conductor & Community Ambassador Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser. Tickets will be required to enter the hall for this free performance.
