Two Men Arrested in B.C. for First-Degree Murder of Brampton Man Harjeet Dhadda

Two men from Delta, British Columbia, have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 51-year-old Harjeet Dhadda, a resident of Brampton.

Peel Regional Police confirmed the arrests in a statement released Tuesday, noting that the suspects had attempted to evade capture but were ultimately located following a detailed investigation.

“Despite the suspects’ efforts to evade capture, our teams remained focused and relentless,” said Chief Nishan Duraiappah. “This outcome sends a clear message — no matter how far you run, our teams will find you.”

Dhadda was shot multiple times in a parking lot near Tranmere Drive and Telford Way in Mississauga shortly before noon on May 14. He later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Following what police described as an “intensive investigation,” both suspects—21-year-old men—were identified and tracked to British Columbia. They were taken into custody on May 28.

Chief Duraiappah praised the efforts of investigators, stating, “This arrest is a testament to the unwavering perseverance and diligence of our homicide investigators. The strong collaboration with policing partners allows this family to take the next step toward justice for the loss of their loved one.”
