U.S., Russia And Ukraine To Hold Abu Dhabi Talks November 10–11

The United States will facilitate a new round of trilateral peace negotiations with Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11, as Washington intensifies diplomatic efforts to end the ongoing conflict. U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced Monday that the discussions will focus on ending the war, establishing post-war security arrangements, reducing military tensions and addressing humanitarian concerns. The talks come as American negotiators seek progress toward a settlement before the onset of winter.

Witkoff and Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, are expected to lead the American delegation. The upcoming meeting follows discussions between Witkoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg two weeks earlier, during which Putin agreed to participate in another round of negotiations. The last U.S.-mediated peace talks took place in February, before the outbreak of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.

Ahead of the Abu Dhabi summit, American officials are scheduled to meet representatives from France, Germany, Britain, the European Union and NATO in Brussels this week. Those discussions will concentrate on security guarantees for Ukraine, Europe’s broader security framework and financial assistance for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction. U.S. officials said the diplomatic engagements are part of the Trump administration’s continuing efforts to secure a lasting peace agreement.

Despite renewed negotiations, significant disagreements remain between Moscow and Kyiv over the conditions of a potential settlement. President Trump has recently increased pressure on Ukraine to reach an agreement, while questions surrounding territorial disputes, security guarantees and the future of European stability continue to complicate diplomatic efforts. The Abu Dhabi meeting is expected to provide another opportunity to narrow differences and explore possible steps toward ending the conflict.
