William Osler Health System Welcomes Two New Members to its Board of Directors

Lola Kassim and Alena Thouin appointed during Annual Meeting

William Osler Health System (Osler) is pleased to welcome two new Board members who bring extensive leadership experience and expertise to the organization and the broader health care system. The new members were announced during Osler’s Annual Meeting held on June 24, 2026.

Joining Osler’s Board of Directors are:

  • Lola Kassim – General Manager, Uber Eats Canada
  • Alena Thouin – Chief Strategy and Operations Officer, Building Ontario Fund

    “We are grateful to welcome our newest Board members, whose leadership, experience and commitment to service will help support Osler’s ongoing work to provide exceptional care to the communities we serve,” said Pardeep Singh Gill, Chair of William Osler Health System’s Board of
    Directors. “Their willingness to volunteer their time and skills reflects a shared commitment to Osler’s Vision of world-class health care inspired by our people and communities. We look forward to the important contributions they will make.”

    Ex-Officio Board Members

    Osler also expresses deep appreciation to outgoing Ex-Officio Member of the Board Tiziana Rivera, Executive Vice President, Quality, Research and Chief Nursing Executive at William Osler Health System, who is retiring at the end of the month. Carole Moore, Vice President, Clinical Services at William Osler Health System, is assuming the Chief Nursing Executive responsibilities while recruitment for the role is underway, and will join the Board of Directors on an interim basis.
