28 July: In an exciting 6th match of the GT20 Canada 2024, the Montreal Tigers clinched a narrow 10-run victory against the Vancouver Knights. Batting first, the Tigers managed a total of 139/9 in their 20 overs, with key contributions from Muhammad Waseem (39 runs) and Sherfane Rutherford (28 runs). The Knights, led by Fakhar Zaman’s 44 runs, fell short, finishing at 129/6. Aayan Afzal Khan’s exceptional bowling performance of 3/21 was instrumental in the Tigers’ victory, earning him the Player of the Match award. This win bolsters the Tigers’ position in the tournament.
