Exciting news for Brampton’s youth! The City of Brampton has officially relaunched its Explore Brampton Youth Pass program for summer 2025, giving young residents free access to both Brampton Transit and select recreation programs throughout the season.

Regional Councillor Rowena Santos emphasized the importance of the initiative, saying, “Access to recreation is vital for the health and well-being of our youth. This pass opens the door to activities like swimming, skating, and sports, promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. It reflects our commitment to building an engaged and energetic community.”

This summer, from July 1 to September 1, 2025, 2,500 free youth passes will be distributed to Brampton residents aged 12 to 16. Passholders can enjoy unlimited free rides on Brampton Transit and complimentary entry to a wide range of recreation drop-in programs.

Applications for the 2025 Explore Brampton Youth Pass are now open and can be submitted online. The deadline to apply is Sunday, May 18, 2025. Interested youth and parents are encouraged to apply quickly, as passes are limited.

The program is generously sponsored by Amazon, and is part of Brampton’s larger effort to keep youth active, connected, and thriving during their summer break.

This initiative also ties into Brampton’s Youth Engagement Strategy, which focuses on empowering over 153,000 young people in the city by amplifying their voices, creating leadership opportunities, and supporting both mental and physical well-being. The strategy is currently being updated with feedback from residents aged 14 to 29. Other programs under this strategy include employment readiness initiatives and more.

Mayor Patrick Brown added, “Brampton is proud to be home to a vibrant and diverse youth community. With this pass, young residents can explore the city, stay active, and enjoy top-tier recreation at no cost. We urge all eligible youth to apply and make the most of this opportunity.”
