Canada’s Wonderland Celebrates Its One Billionth Rider

Canada’s Wonderland has officially reached an incredible milestone: welcoming its one billionth rider!

On July 30, Annabelle S., Kim S., John S. and John Jr. of Kingston, ON became part of Canada’s Wonderland history when they were told at Thunder Run that Annabelle was the park’s one billionth rider. The announcement was made over the station’s speaker by Park President Christopher Mortensen and the family was greeted by Snoopy. They were then presented with a Canada’s Wonderland prize package featuring park merchandise and a ticket package for a return visit, including Fast Lane Plus vouchers.

Since Canada’s Wonderland first opened, its attractions have provided millions of rides across the roller coasters, family attractions and kids’ rides. Of them all, Dragon Fyre has welcomed the most riders, with an incredible 45.7 million riders at the end of last season, since the park opened. Thunder Run is also an original, though it first opened as Blauer Enzian in the International Festival area before moving into Wonder Mountain in 1986. Thunder Run has seen a remarkable 36.6M riders overall.

For the most riders in one season, Behemoth, Leviathan and Yukon Striker were the park’s highest ridership roller coasters in 2025, welcoming 1.35 million, 1.48 million and 1.28 million riders, respectively. Psyclone led the park’s flat rides in 2025, welcoming over 550,000 riders throughout the season.

The milestone is a celebration of how much Canada’s Wonderland has grown over the years. Today, the park features more than 200 attractions, including 18 roller coasters, two children’s areas and Splash Works water park. From first coaster rides and annual family traditions to visits shared across generations, each guest has helped shape the park’s story.

“Reaching one billion riders is an incredible moment in Canada’s Wonderland’s history. For more than four decades, our guests have trusted us to be part of their family traditions and most memorable moments. We’re grateful to everyone who has visited the park over the years, and we’re excited to continue creating unforgettable experiences for generations to come,” said Christopher Mortensen, Park President at Canada’s Wonderland.

As Canada’s Wonderland celebrates this historic milestone, the park is already looking ahead to all the thrills, celebrations and memories still to come. Thank you to every guest who has taken a spin, braved a drop or experienced their very first roller coaster with us. Here’s to the next billion!
