Enabled Talent, a company focused on helping people with disabilities find jobs, has teamed up with Algoma University. They’ve signed an agreement to work together on creating new tools powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The goal is to make it much easier for visually impaired people to use computers and digital tools in their jobs, helping them be more independent and productive.
This groundbreaking collaboration is deeply personal for Enabled Talent’s founder, Aman. As someone with partial blindness and over a decade of experience in disability inclusion, Aman has shaped Enabled Talent to be an inclusive hiring and assistive tech platform built from lived experience. We’re building AI that is made for people with disabilities from the very start, says Aman. “We focus on those often forgotten by the tech world.
Over the next two years, Enabled Talent will work closely with Professor Randy Lin and Algoma University’s Digital Innovation Lab. This team will focus on building special technologies that help blind and low-vision users with everyday work tasks. This includes things like sending emails, joining online meetings, handling documents, filling out forms, and easily using complicated websites and software.
Meet Eynable: Making Digital Tools Work for Everyone
At the heart of this partnership is Eynable, a groundbreaking AI tool. It’s designed to connect visually impaired individuals with the digital world without hassle. Unlike older accessibility tools that often required expensive and time-consuming changes to websites and software, Eynable works smoothly with the office programs and websites people already use. No changes are needed to the existing systems.
Eynable uses smart AI to understand what a user wants to do and how they interact with their computer. This clever approach allows visually impaired employees to use standard office software with surprising ease. It helps create a workplace where everyone can be efficient and work independently, no matter their vision.
Empowering People, Not Replacing Jobs
It’s important to be clear: Eynable is built to help and empower visually impaired professionals, making them even better at their jobs. It’s not about replacing them. This powerful tool aims to remove big digital and job-related obstacles. It will allow blind and low-vision individuals to contribute greatly in many different roles, such as office assistants, customer service reps, receptionists, and call center agents.
Join Us to Build a More Inclusive Future
Enabled Talent strongly believes that making things accessible isn’t just a nice idea—it’s absolutely necessary. We’re inviting business leaders, government groups, and organizations that support people with disabilities to join us in this important mission.
If you’re a business owner wanting to create a workplace that welcomes everyone, a lawmaker pushing for fair digital access, or just someone who cares about technology that helps people, your involvement can make a huge difference. You can help shape a future where blind and low-vision professionals can truly succeed.
Together, we can build a world where digital tools are helpful for everyone, making sure no one is left behind in today’s workforce.
