The two-day workshop brought South Asian artists and producers like Rashmeet Kaur, Shally Rehal and Bounce, from Canada, the United States and India together. The event highlights the commitment from Amazon Music to helping Canadian South Asian artists reach global audiences
South Asian superstars from around the world descended on Vancouver this week ahead of the JUNO Awards that are slated to take over the city this weekend. The two day South Asian songwriting workshop sponsored by Amazon Music brought artists like Rashmeet Kaur, Yanchan, GMINXR, and A4 and the World together, to produce music, celebrate their culture, musical influences, and grow the presence of South Asian music in Canada.






The event culminated in an artist’s showcase at the Hollywood Theatre in Kitsilano on Wednesday.
The showcase featured a Fireside Chat that highlighted the development of the South Asian music scene in Canada with promoter Baldeep Randhawa.
The JUNO Awards will take place on Sunday in Vancouver.
This year for the first time ever there will be a category for South Asian Music Recording of the Year.
