A devastating car accident on Saturday night (27 july), approximately 68 kilometers east of Fredericton, resulted in the deaths of three passengers and sent the driver to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the RCMP.
Navjot Somal, a 19-year-old man, and two 23-year-old women, Harman Somal and Rasham Judge, all from Moncton, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, as reported in a news release by New Brunswick RCMP.
The driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene near Grand Lake on Highway 2 at around 9:35 p.m.
The vehicle was traveling west when it lost a tire, causing the driver to lose control and veer off the highway, according to the release.
