U.S. President Donald Trump has brushed aside comments made by Prince Harry urging stronger American action on Ukraine, saying the royal does not represent the United Kingdom.
Speaking on Thursday, Trump said Harry was not in a position to speak for the U.K., while adding a brief, pointed remark about the prince and his wife. Despite the criticism, Trump said he appreciated the advice.
Harry made the comments during a recent visit to Ukraine, where he called on the United States to increase its support for Kyiv and urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to change course in the ongoing war.
The exchange comes ahead of a planned visit to Washington by King Charles III and Queen Camilla next week. The royal visit is expected to include meetings at the White House and the U.S. Capitol.
