Two arrested in Mississauga Lamborghini shooting case: 18-year-old Basherullah Abdulrashid and youth suspect face multiple charges as police seek additional suspects

Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged two individuals in relation to a Mississauga shooting.
On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at approximately 4:00 a.m., police in the area of Mississauga Road and North Sheridan Way in Mississauga were alerted that a woman in a vehicle had been shot. The victim, an adult female, is still recovering from her injuries.
On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, an 18-year-old man from Toronto, Basherullah Abdulrashid was arrested and found to be in possession of a firearm. He is charged with the following offences:
Accessory After the Fact
Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Careless Storage of a Firearm
He was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
One youth was arrested, found to be in possession of two loaded magazines, and breaching a previous firearm prohibition release order. The youth is charged with the following offences:
Attempt Murder
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
Aggravated Assault (x2)
Possession of Firearms Contrary to Order (x2)
The youth was held for a bail hearing.
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of a Young Person’s name; therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
Investigators from Peel Regional Police believe additional suspects are involved and anticipate laying further charges. These suspects are advised to contact a lawyer and make arrangements to turn themselves in to any Peel Regional Police Division or contact the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau.
