26th December 2024: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday at the age of 92. The senior Congress leader was admitted to AIIMS Delhi in critical condition after his health worsened. Earlier this year, Singh retired from the Rajya Sabha, ending a remarkable 33-year career in the Upper House of Parliament.
Sources confirmed that Singh passed away at the hospital on Thursday evening. Priyanka Gandhi and other political leaders from different parties visited AIIMS Delhi to pay their respects.
Robert Vadra expressed his sorrow on X, saying, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ji. My condolences to his family and loved ones. Thank you for your service to our nation. You will always be remembered for the economic changes you brought to the country.”
